To say we were excited to partner with Amber Autumn Alpacas with CCNF Legionnaire at the 2014 Breeders Edge Auction would be a understatement, a huge one. In a long run, Legionnaire went on to be the highest selling alpaca at the auction (we bought him for $57,500), figures considering this guys genetics.

This spectacular young male was the 2015 Futurity Fawn Male Color Champion & 2015 AOA National Fawn Male Reserve Champion!! Two of the most prestigious shows in the alpaca industry and he took home purple. Ending his show career with four Judges' Choice awards and nine Championship awards.
By one of the world’s great sires, out of a female from a sensational family line who has made a huge impact on the United States industry, here we have a male bred on a cross that has been proven to produce champions.
CCNF Legionnaire, a son of Snowmass Matirx Majesty, has enjoyed extraordinary success as a sire with championship winners in both the United States and Canada and his offspring being found in Poland, United States, Canada, and Australia. Overall, his offspring have won many championships and even Judges’ Choice and National Championship titles. Even more impressive, his son Red Granites Pallaton (Now resides in Poland) won the 2018 Canadian Supreme Champion Male award, Palltons offspring have had much success in the Canadian show rings themselves. Another son by Legionnaire, Red Granites Man of Mystery (Owned by Willow Wind Farm Alpacas) is the densest alpaca yet biopsied by Ian Watt in the USA, and we have not yet heard of a denser alpaca out there a at a whopping 127.2 follicles/square mm density. His daughter, Red Granites Pixie was sold at the 2018 Amber Autumn Auction for a pretty penny, where she was purchased by EP Cambridge Alpaca Stud in Australia.
Combining Cas-Cad-Nac's powerhouse production female; CCNF Magdalena and Snowmass Matrix Majesty you would only hope for an advanced fleece, Legionnaire carries a extremely advanced fleece. He carried a six year old fleece with a AFD of 17.3 and SD of 2.5, SIMPLY UNREAL numbers for a six year old BREEDING male.
Legionnaire's breedings are limited, please contact us for more information.
Red Granites Tammerlane is that one male who you just know is good when you see him out in the fields, he is the standout of our Legionnaire offspring. His fleece has very good uniformity, outstanding character and density in his crimp, excellent coverage throughout his body, ideal confirmation, and just a gorgeous head style to top it all off. What makes this young stud is so exceptional is his unique, paternal lineage. His sire, CCNF Legionnaire is easily given the recognition deserved as one of CCNF Magdalena’s most valued offspring, while also carrying one of Cas Cad Nac Farms most recognizable lines that they have created.
Red Granites Tammerlane exhibits phenomenal phenotype! Conformation is exceptional with a solid frame, very full coverage down to his toes and that perfectly typey head.
Tammerlane's impeccable conformation and elite fleece traits were validated at some of the most prestigious shows in the country: AOA National Show, Great Western Stock Show, and The Futurity, as well as small state shows. Most notably when he was awarded 1st place in halter at the 2019 & 2020 AOA National Show, as well as a 1st Place win at the 2019 Futurity and getting many looks by judges in the Champion brown ring. In fact, his fiber characteristics where so good he NEVER placed below a 2nd place at shows, and repeatedly got comments on his fineness, extreme softness & brightness, as well as his stunning head type.
Does he throw black? YES! He throws gorgeous blacks and very fine light colors! As of 2022, 3/4 of his cries are bay black or true black with one light fawn from a light fawn dam.
