We were thrilled to have had the opportunity to buy her at the 2015 Futurity auction from the then owners of Snowmass Alpacas, Julie & Don Skinner, the main reasoning being she had loads of potential even being under one year of age with her fleece being 4 inches long. Her fineness, brightness, density, and consistency of fleece runs through her linage top and bottom, making her a true representation of how dedicated and how much love went into each and every breeding when Snowmass Alpacas was breeding for Super Royal pure white alpaca seed stock. She is currently our highest-value, beige-production female despite being so young, with Snowmass Heavens Spice standing right above her, a Snowmass Heavens Guardian offspring. She is the only daughter from Snowmass Legends Orchid, all of her previous offspring were males! Aragon has routinely stayed in a the limits of the Royal Alpaca fleece stats, even as a breeding male with crias on ground. He is our main goal as a huacaya breeder, lasting fineness with density. Red Granites Aragon is a striking medium fawn, award-winning male. He has a very beautiful fleece. Aragon carries an extremely soft fine, yet very dense fleece, with amazing brightness to add on. He carries a full fleece body of high-frequency low amplitude fleece with small individual little bundles throughout, and is very consistent throughout the body. He has carried a Grade 0 fleece since is first shearing, which is amazing considering he is now a 5 year old breeding male. We always have late bloomders; fleece wise. Aragon blossomed a little late into his show career. He wasn't on our showing list until fall of 2017 but never returned on our list till TXOLAN in 2018 where he was awarded a 2nd place and Reserve Color Champion. After that point, he was winning anything above 3rd places. At the National Western Stock Show in 2020 at 3 years of age, he was awarded the 2020 Grand Champion male, as a 3-year-old!! We then brought Aragon to the 2020 AOA National Show and he did not disappoint us! As a 42.8-month-old male, he came home with the Fawn AOA National Color Champion. We are beyond happy with Aragon and how he has been showing for us even at his age. His dam, Crescent Moon's Anna Lucia, multi-champion female, comes from a very impressive lineage. When you look at her pedigree you see, Aussie. 38 Special, PPeruvian Victor G4563, Show Me The Money, 5Peruvian Black Ice 9069, 4Peruvain Legacy 6016, and a whole lot more. Aragon's sire, CCNF Legionnaire is sporting a very Elite and stunning linage. Legionnaire's paternal line is very much notable. Granddam, PPeruvian Jesusa RO662 is dam to CCNF Magdalena. CCNF Magdalena her self is a 10x Champion/Reserve champion winner, her offspring being championed as well. CCNF Legionnaire being one of her priceless offspring who we were able to snag and share with Amber Autumn alpacas. Red Granites Odena's Dam - Snowmass Seven Orchids - is one of our well known champion girls in 2015 who we purchased from Julie & Don Skinner at a Futurity auction.. Orchid is the daughter of Snowmass Seven Below, a multiple Herdsire of the year winner. Snowmass considered Seven Below their "secret weapon" for passing on uniformity of micron and fleece architecture.
