Red Granites MR Harrington is a Snowmass Matrix Rose son. For those unfamiliar with Matrix Rose, he is a multi-champion son of Matrix and was coined “The Dark Matrix” for his consistency in producing high-end huacaya alpacas. Matrix Rose contributed to 100% of our judges choice winners in 2021, and 90% of our champions. We rarely offer a male offspring by Matrix Rose, and when we do they exceed everyone’s expectations….
Coming from a MFI Master of Arms daughter, we knew right away this male would carry the elite micron uniformity that is known when crossing a Matrix and Donovan line.
Harrington’s fleece is exceptionally bright and very fine for his age. His two-year-old histogram came in at 20.1 AFD with a CV of 20.1, and a SD of 4…. true uniformity. His fleece is high frequency and medium amplitude with loads of density.
And yes, he has a spot, just one! A Fawn/brown one that shows the same consistency that his lighter fiber shows. To us this just hints his color production more.
