Alpaca breeders have looked at us like we are crazy when we tell them this is a male out of a colored lineage, but when you look past his white coloration you can see why his fleece soon becomes those breeders favorites...
Red Granites Flash is a one of a kind and an overall, ideal male at the same time. Our aim as breeders is to achieve this "ideal" in our breeding program, while maintaining the distinctive characteristics of our genetic lines, which is slowly becoming a reality for us.
Red Granites Flash has impeccable presence, perfect conformation, strong stout balance, and a fleece that surpasses the best breeds of sheep - taking alpaca fiber to the ultimate! He displays elite fleece characteristics that remind us of his paternal-grandsire, Red Granites Val D Lsere; an extremely high-frequency merino type fleece style, except Flash has a longer staple. He is what we like to represent not only as the ultimate alpaca, but the ultimate within the next generation of seed-stock huacaya's here at Red Granite Ranch.
He is sired by a roan male who has accomplished unheard of things in the show ring; Red Granites Alydar By Val D Lsere (co-owned with Tierra Prometida Alpacas of Texas), and is out of one a female whose lineage contains: Accoyo Nobility, Legionnaire, Accoyo Poseidon, and Aladdin - her name is Red Granites Fern. Fern is one of our finest reserved, CCNF Legionnaire daughters, and respectively she had major success during her show career and is now obtaining even more success as a foundation female...
Thus far, Flash has obtained nothing but first place & championship wins in the halter classes, and multiple championships in Walking Fleece. Kevin O'Leary stated that, "This male is a serious competitor. His fleece is amazing...WOW" at the A-OK double Show in the fall of 2023 in the Best Bred & Owned Male championship. Amanda VandenBosch commented on Flash's extremely soft & buttery handle with elite fineness and uniformity. We expect Flash to achieve great success as his show career continues!
Flash's genetic line is remarkable, and it tells a story of elite huacaya breeding. It’s no wonder this guys fleece is as good as it is...
We do know that Flash can cover black from his sire as he passed down an “a” allele.
We would consider selling half or full-interest in this male. If he interests you don’t be afraid to ask!
