Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose (Sizzy) is a simply divine light brown, male with extremely bright fleece, full of high-frequency high amplitude Mirco bundles, as well as carrying a very dense fleece with an amazing handle. Several of the top Judges have called him "The Total Package." With him being an exceptional twelve-time champion, including the 2012 AOBA National Alpaca Show Halter Color Champion & 2012 The Futurity Halter Color Champion. Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose has been breeding for us for several years now and we couldn't be more pleased with the amount of improvement he has made to our herd. In 2014, we consigned Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose to the 2014 Amber Autumn Auction (AAA) and he ended up selling for $90,000, making him the highest-selling Snowmass Matrix Rose offspring to date. He was sold to Daryl and Shirley Krause of Amber Autumn Alpacas in Oregon. A year later we ended up acquiring half ownership of Sizzy with both of us, Amber Autumn Alpacas and Red Granite Ranch, closing Sizzy to all outside breedings. Though his offspring will be offered at both ranches and depending on the year, some outside breedings may be offered. We, Red Granite Ranch and Amber Autumn Alpacas are very happy to announce that Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose won the 2016 Huacaya Herdsire Of The Year, large breeder Division, as well as the 2017 Reserve Herdsire Of The Year Dark-colored offspring, large breeder Division. Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose was mentioned in The American Alpaca Journal, Issue 2, January 2020 in the “Black Ring Demographics” where Sizzy appeared in the top five genetic contributors to the winning black groups in the 2018-19 black ring. Impressive indeed. His ~250 Registered offspring have won around 200 championship banners and 4 AOA National Dark Male Supreme Championships as of 2026. Sizzy is the sire to RED GRANITES VAL D LSERE the 2016, 2017, and 2018 AOA National Dark Male Supreme Championship winner & LIBERTY'S MANIFEST-DESTINY the 2020 AOA National Dark Male Supreme Championship winner. 4 Dark Male Supreme Championship trophies have been sired by Sizzy, no other sire has accomplished this!! Sizzy is now soley owned by Red Granite Ranch, and we have decided to close him to further outside breedings. Bred females can be acquired as can his offspring!

Snowmass Conopa XXX Vail is one of our all time most treasured production females. A 10-TIME PRODUCE OF DAM WINNER she has continued to prove herself through her offspring. Her production has taken us to the top at shows and to the Elite level in our breeding program. Snowmass Conopa XXX Vail is one of our all time most treasured production females. A 10-TIME PRODUCE OF DAM WINNER she has continued to prove herself through her offspring. Her production has taken us to the top at shows and to the Elite level in our breeding program. Snowmass Conopa XXX Vail is the only left offspring by HWA Plantel's Promise, a direct 6Peruvian Accoyo Plantel daughter who carried a gorgeous fawn grey fleece, and was very dear to Snowmass Alpacas, we sadly lost her in 2011 after she had her second daughter, Red Granites Royal Promise, who we also ended up loosing later in 2014. Vail has exceeded our expections with carrying on these genetics, and we are forever grateful for the oppourtunity on purchasing her and her dam. Her first son, Red Granites Val D Lsere, is quite possibly the most amazing Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose son we have ever produced/seen. He is a 3X AOA National Dark Male Supreme Champion winner and has over 20 judges' choice and championship awards. Most recently, Val D Lsere, claimed the 2021 Futurity Herdsire of the Year (Large Breeder Division), 2021 Futurity Herdsire of the Year Dark-Colored Offspring & 2021 Futurity Reserve Herdsire of the Year Light-Colored Offspring. He is also our first ever alpaca to reach vicuna/merino fine fleece at 13.9 microns with intense curvature at 64.6. Her first daughter, Red Granites Vista By Rembrandt, has produced some of our FINEST white animals here at Red Granite Ranch. Her offspring have reached 11 micron fleeced with curve's in the 60's. Each and every one of her offspring carry lov CV vaules that are relative to their AFD numbers. Her second daughter, Red Granites Sizlin Vegas was the 2018 Futurity Fawn Female Reserve Color Champion winner, who is now in the hands of EP Cambridge Alpaca Stud in Australia being sold for quite a pretty penny. Her fourth son, Red Granites Val Thorens sold for 20-grand as a juvenile at his first show, where he racked up championship banners. He was also the 2021 AOA National Fawn Male Color Champion winner. We have bred Vail to Legionnaire for a 2022 cria. This breeding could just be one of our next 'big' things. Will be bred to Legit for a 2023 cria. Vail is not for sale. She is placed on our website as a foundation female for those who view her crias and as a viewing point of our aniamls. :)

We are very pleased to present Val Thorens to the world!! Full brother to our homegrown world-class male: Red Granites Val D Lsere. Just perfect in every way. An elite combination of fineness, uniformity, highly-refined architecture and brightness on this fairly young champion. The fineness and architecture goes from his top-knot to his knees, all being carried by a world-class linage that has been proven over and over again to only give Champion progeny.
By now, many breeders in the alpaca industry know that we favor the match between Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose & Snowass Conopa XXX Vail, and have only released 2 offspring from this match to very lucky farms, Val Thorens being one. This match has given us champion crias 4/5 times of breeding them together, two of them (Val D Lsere & Sizlin Vegas) are Judges Choice winners and or Supreme Champion winners, all the other crias from this match carry very, very fine fleeces throughout their life.
When the time comes of Val Thorens breeding career, we know he will produce lasting fineness within his crias, but until then I would be on the lookout for this youngster in the show ring with his new owners, as he already is a show stopping champion, taking home a banner every single show he attends. Seems just like his brother, Val D Lsere if you don't ask us... ;)
Congratulations to Holdfast Farms of their amazing purchase of Val Thorens or Thor as they are calling him now at the American Alpacas Showcase, he will do you well in the show ring and in your breeding program, no doubt, possibly will do just as good as his older brother!
He did it again with his new owners! Racked up 5 more banners since being with them, this male is mirroring his older brother!
