"This male is something special, an honor to be judging him." - 2018 AOA National Show after winning his third Supreme Championship. 28-time Get of Sire Winner, 2X Herdsire of the Year & 4X Herdsire of the Year Dark-Colored Offspring In the thoroughbred industry, it's often said that you breed the best to the best and then hope for the best. That certainly wasn't the case when Red Granites Val D Lsere took out the Dark Male Supreme Champion award at the AOA National Show for three consecutive years in a row -- all the ingredients were there for a born champion recipe, and they were expertly combined and brilliantly presented. Red Granites Val D Lsere is ONE IN A MILLION. Our first ever alpaca to reach vicuna fine fleece at 13.9 microns with intense curvature at 64.6, making profound impressions in the huacaya breeding programs in his first breeding years, and will continue for many more years to come, he is the TRUE definition of the ideal huacaya. His fleece has been described numerous times by international judges as the most highly developed fleece they have ever seen. Val D Lsere and his successes make him one of the most successful alpacas in US history and judges have said he is the best they have seen. He has a very bright, extraordinarily dense, fine fleece with a merino-type crimp style. Val is a very compact male with a very strong heavy bone structure. All of these traits are being seen in his offspring. He rapidly rose to a legendary level and is, without a doubt, one of the most significant alpacas ever to be born at Red Granite Ranch and possibly in the US, and is one of the most highly decorated alpacas in the world. Val D Lsere is truly revolutionary for the next generation of Huacaya fleeces and genetics. He has produced colors all across the spectrum, including rose and silver-grey. He has already produced AOA National Champions & Futurity Champions. He is shown to be EXTREMELY POTENT with producing top-quality animals no matter the color of the offspring or dam. If you get your hands on his genetics do not let go of them, they are PRICELESS. Offspring have sold for auction at high prices of $40K, $41K, and even $130K!! Considering only two of his offspring lay outside of the US, his lines are extremely favorable here in the US, so if you get a hold of his genetics do not let them go! Fiber and Fleece Description EXQUISITE in all respects. Merino and Vicuna's qualities are pushed together. Red Granites Val D Lsere is the Herdsire who is dominating the New Generation. He is a restricted herdsire, no outside breedings are offered. Offspring may be offered at auction or through private sales (on very rare occasions). 2022 #1 National High Point Huacaya Male 2022 #2, #7, & #8 National High Point Huacaya Female 2023 #10 National High Point Huacaya Female, Halter 2023 #3, #4, & #10 National High Point Huacaya Male, Fleece

Snowmass Maree Love, Snowmass Wedding Pacabells, Snowmass Olay & Snowmass Simply Scrumptious are four of Snowmass Alpacas lead production females, and are leading today's genetics across the US. They are dam to Snowmass' BEST produced alpacas. Her maternal-granddam; Snowmas Snow Sage, sold for $65,000 to Stillmeadow Alpacas at the 2012 Winner's Circle Sale. Julie Skinner describes her this way: "SNOWMASS HEAVEN’S SPICE is one Snowmass Heaven’s Guardian’s first offspring. She is absolutely everything we hoped for. A mouthwatering fleece expressing fineness in abundance, bright beautiful character and the true consistency we strive for from head to toe. Heaven’s Spice has a beautifully balanced frame and the picture perfect alpaca head. Her maternal line brings in Futurity Champion; Snowmass Sweet Sage matched with Futurity Champion lineage Snowmass Conopa’s Kahuna. This line crossed with Heaven’s Guardians lineage resulted in the most exquisite results. We absolutely do not want to sell her especially in knowing we are releasing his sire from our program. There is no better way to present evidence of what Snowmass Heaven’s Guardian production will look like than putting her beside him and making an exciting Futurity show and sale entry to boot." A dreamy medium brown, fleece coming from an exquisite line of the finest WHITE & COLORED huacaya genetics - we expect this one to do some rather large things in the upcoming years...

We are proud to introduce you to Red Granites Salty By Val D Lsere, who, at such a young age, has all the qualities we look for in a Herdsire. He has incredible strength of bone with perfect conformation, and a glance into his paddock confirms that he is a 'look at me' male with eye-catching presence.

With such a rich medium brown colored fleece he carries through with exceptional fleece qualities ticking all the boxes for: fineness, density, staple length, brightness, color, and uniformity across the blanket and within individual staples. His uniformity of micron is what brought him his first championship banner in walking fleece (at his first show to add) winning with 70+ points out of 80, as he carries very little strong primary fibers in to his brisket area - which is something every breeder is striving for!

With Red Granites Val D Lsere as his sire, a male who is demonstrating the longevity of fineness and fleece qualities in his progeny, we are expecting Salty to maintain his excellent fleece attributes. Even more, this is backed by the impressive maternal lineage that Satly has. His dam, Snowmass Heavens Spice is a two-time AOA National White Champion. She comes directly from the heart of Snowmass Alpacas' finest reserved white lines, meaning she is laced with the finest genetics that Snowmass has ever produced. Her maternal line brings in Futurity Champion; Snowmass Sweet Sage, a Snowmass Touche' daughter matched with Futurity Champion lineage Snowmass Conopa’s Kahuna, a Snowmass Conopa XXX son. And while being a direct daughter of Snowmass Heaven’s Guardian (one of the best Snowmass Elite Legend sons born) she practically ensures longevity in both fineness and uniformity of micron through the life of the alpaca!

Red Granites Salty By Val D Lsere is a full-brother to Red Granites Sassafras By Val D Lsere, the 2021 Futurity White Female Reserve Color Champion and Judges' Choice winner!
