We are now closing Legionnaire to outside breedings. With hi weight fluctuation and age we think it best to keep him in house. He has many sons working for us! We are now closing Legionnaire to outside breedings. With hi weight fluctuation and age we think it best to keep him in house. He has many sons working for us! To say we were excited to partner with Amber Autumn Alpacas with CCNF Legionnaire at the 2014 Breeders Edge Auction would be an understatement, a huge one. In a long run, Legionnaire went on to be the highest selling alpaca at the auction (we bought him for $57,500), figures considering this guys genetics. This spectacular young male was the 2015 Futurity Fawn Male Color Champion & 2015 AOA National Fawn Male Reserve Champion!! Two of the most prestigious shows in the alpaca industry and he took home purple. Ending his show career with four Judges' Choice awards and nine Championship awards. By one of the world’s great sires, out of a female from a sensational family line who has made a huge impact on the United States industry, here we have a male bred on a cross that has been proven to produce champions. CCNF Legionnaire, a son of Snowmass Matirx Majesty, has enjoyed extraordinary success as a sire with championship winners in both the United States and Canada and his offspring being found in Poland, United States, Canada, and Australia. Overall, his offspring have won many championships and even Judges’ Choice and National Championship titles. Even more impressive, his son Red Granites Pallaton (Now resides in Poland) won the 2018 Canadian Supreme Champion Male award, Palltons offspring have had much success in the Canadian show rings themselves. Another son by Legionnaire, Red Granites Man of Mystery (Owned by Willow Wind Farm Alpacas) is the densest alpaca yet biopsied by Ian Watt in the USA, and we have not yet heard of a denser alpaca out there a at a whopping 127.2 follicles/square mm density. His daughter, Red Granites Pixie was sold at the 2018 Amber Autumn Auction for a pretty penny, where she was purchased by EP Cambridge Alpaca Stud in Australia. Combining Cas-Cad-Nac's powerhouse production female; CCNF Magdalena and Snowmass Matrix Majesty you would only hope for an advanced fleece, Legionnaire carries a extremely advanced fleece. He carried a six year old fleece with a AFD of 17.3 and SD of 2.5, SIMPLY UNREAL numbers for a six year old BREEDING male. Legionnaire's breedings are limited, please contact us for more information.

Ireland Alyst is a special girl that we bought at an Amber Autumn Auction years ago from a Canadian breeder known as KJ Alpacas. She boasts an incredibly fine fleece, even as a proven breeding female, and passes that exceptional trait onto her crias!

Details
We have always commited to bring and show the best Herdsire prospect males on showcase, in our opinion we have done it again with Red Granites Irish Red, the first cross between a Canadian import female and one of our top fawn males.
Sired by our ELITE Herdsire whom we co-own with Amber Autumn Alpacas in Oregon; CCNF Legionnaire. He was the 2015 Futurity Fawn Male Champion & 2015 AOA National Show Fawn Male Reserve Champion, and also won multiple more championships and judges' choice awards throughout his show career. Legionnaire has consistently thrown offspring with microns below 18 and has even produced 13 micron fleeces with curvatures as high as 64.
Ireland Alyst (dam) was a female we bought from KJ Alpacas (Canada) at auction. It should be known that Ireland's 2016 micron was 15.4, 2017 was 15.9, and 2018 micron was 16.8. Ireland is not only fine but uniform and dense which she consistently passes on to her progeny, as seen in Irish Red.
When you study Irish Red he is strong-boned, short muzzled, stocky built, athletic in his movements and motions, dense, very fine, and bright fleeced. We brought forward one of our best crossed gentetic lines of 2019 for a chance of someone to enhance their herd. If we didnt already have many females that are closely related to this picture perfect male, he would be breeding for us.
Irish Red had a fleece length of 4.2 inches in 2021 that tested at 17.5 microns. Having the Canadian genes in this guy will help produce longer & heavier fleeces but with Legionnaire's added genetics you will have thse qualities with lasting fineness and uniformity.
This male will jumpstart your density, fineness, and fleece growth. As an unproven male he comes with no guarantee. Call us today if this male interests you!
