Congratulations to Fleecy Friends Alpacas OK, Derek Smith and Julie Knox on their purchase of Aces Loaded! While we are celebrating our 15th year breeding alpacas in 2024, we think it's only fitting to offer a male, of extreme caliber, from two of our finest and reserved colored lines. Starting with Anna Lucia, one of our most highly held females in our breeding program. She is a direct daughter of Aussie .38 Special and maternal granddaughter of 4Peruvian Legacy and maternal great-granddaughter of 5Peruvian Black Ice. Anna Lucia was the 2020 AOA National Produce of Dam winner in both fleece & halter. She has produced Futurity & National Champions in Black, Fawn & Brown, and each of her progeny have gone on to become Herdsires or foundation female in our program and others as well. Namely, her offspring are: Red Granites Aragon (Lead Fawn Herdsire at RGR, 2-time National Champion), Red Granites Sizlin Ava (owned by Crescent Moon Ranch), Red Granites Agnes Lorraine (National Champion owned by Odin Falls Alpacas), Red Granites Azeri (Champion owned by Foster Trails Alpaca Farm) and Red Granites Abeba (full-sister, Multi-champion). Another thing to note is Anna Lucia held a 23.3 micron fleece while shearing 6+ pounds of fleece at 12-years of age!! Anna Lucia is the definition of a "Stud Female" and we are glad to offer her best son yet! Red Granites Val D Lsere is indeed the sire of this exquisite male. His density and advanced fleece frequency can be seen within Aces Loaded. Red Granites Val D Lsere descends from the best colored genetics available in North America. Combining the finest Snowmass & Magical Farms lines with the finest Peruvian imported lines. He is a multiple Herdsire of the Year winner (in Dark, Light, and Large Breeder Division), and his offspring have won 19 "Get of Sire" first place ribbons! No outside breedings are offered, and very few sons are offered for sale.... But, what makes this male so special and different compared to other Val D Lsere sons? His staple length matched with an elite high-frequency fleece that carries through with all the elite fiber characteristics we all love. With a 2023 total fleece weight of 6.9 pounds, his blanket weighed in at 4.5 pounds with a staple of 4.4 inches, his 2022 total fleece weight was 10.6 pounds with a blanket weight of 4+ pounds and 4+ inches!
