If you're in search of a foundation female with the ability to cover black, we invite you to consider Red Granites Skybird—an exceptional offering sired by MFI Pistol and out of Red Granites Sizlin Sunrise. Both of her parents are true black champions known for producing dense, high-quality fleeces, a trait clearly passed down to Skybird.
Skybird comes directly from the heart of our foundation herd, and it’s rare for us to part with females of this caliber, especially at such a young age. However, with both her sires genetics and dam still active within our breeding program, and a wave of outstanding young females now entering our lineup, we’re facing space limitations. Otherwise, she would undoubtedly be staying!!
In 2021, Skybird produced a highly impressive male by CCNF Legionnaire, demonstrating her ability to pass on quality genetics. We firmly believe that if bred to a black or dark brown male, she has the potential to produce an even more elite cria, possibly with enhanced color genetics and fleece traits.
Skybird is a strategic choice for any breeder looking to add strong color potential, champion lineage, and proven production value to their program.
Her fleece has a lavender harlequin coloration, a color we have continued to see from our black x black breedings. She would make an exciting foundation female for color breeders.
