Red Granites Aftie

Red Granites Aftie is an exciting young female combining two very different, yet highly complementary sides of our breeding program. Sired by Red Granites Chandler Bay and out of our 3-time Champion and Best Bred & Owned winner, Red Granites Abeba, Aftie brings together proven black genetics with one of our most valued Val D Lsere maternal lines.

Her sire, Red Granites Chandler Bay, is a true black Reserve Champion who has become an important part of our dark breeding program. He is known for his density, brightness, and uniformity, and has consistently produced impressive color in his offspring.

On the maternal side, Aftie is backed by one of our favorite Val D Lsere daughters. Abeba has proven herself both in the show ring and as a production female, maintaining impressive fineness as she has aged while carrying a bright, extremely dense fleece. This combination gives Aftie an exciting genetic package for breeders looking to maintain fleece quality while working into darker colors.

Aftie herself is a beautiful medium fawn female with a very promising fleece developing. She also had a handful of dark fawn spots throughout.

We particularly like the combination of fleece characteristics and phenotype we are seeing from her at such a young age. With Chandler Bay on the top and Val D Lsere through Abeba on the bottom, there is a lot of breeding potential wrapped up in this young female.

We are excited to watch Aftie continue to develop! Definitely a show team member.
