Foundation Huacaya Alpacas

Red Granites ABCDE is one of our darkest-colored CCNF Legionnaire daughters to date. She is out of 2015 Futurity Black Female Color Champion, Red Granites Allison who just happens to be the dam of Red Granites Alydar By Val D Lsere. ABCDE is set up to be a fantastic foundation female.

Red Granites Lady Luck is one of the last Estates Satin Cloud daughters born in the United States. Lady Luck is a four-time reserve color champion black female with extreme fineness.

A female who was one of our main contenders in the show ring from 2012 to 2013, winning many Color and Reserve Color championship banners, four if we are counting. Pirouette is one of our main production females, one who we count on to pull dark colors with fineness and density, which she has never failed us with that. Being that she not only passes her fleece characteristics onto her offspring but the championship banner wins as well. Her son, Red Granites Pecos Pete, a True Black male who now resides at EP Cambridge alpacas in Australia was a multi Color and reserve Champion, five altogether. Or her daughter, Red Granites Pixie a female who carries a super-dense fleece, who also now resides at EP Cambridge.

Red Granites Sleepy Jean -- the first offspring sired by LMFI Jeremiah's Indescribable, and one of the few BLACK daughters he has sired to date. Red Granites Sleepy Jean is one of our treasured BLACK females who we have reserved within our herd, she is also one of the finest black females we hold in our herd. For her maiden breeding she was bred to Val D Lsere and presented us with a 15.0 AFD female who is simply amazing in everyway. We plan on breeding her to one of Val D Lsres sons; Alydar or Casper in the near future... Red Granites Wild Scion is our only daughter by the late Red Granites Wildcard, who himself was our only ATV Adonnis son. Wild Scion is an impressive female with an exceptionally soft, fine, and uniform fleece with above average staple length!

Passion is a gorgeous bay black with an incredible fleece. Passion’s sire is Wolf Den’s Dark Secret, a True Black 5X Color Champion himself. Dark Secret adds the genetics of Bueno, Casanova, Drambuie, Camilio, Othello and Guellermo to the mix. This young female has the conformation and presence of her parents plus a fine, bright, well structured fleece that is sure to win in the show ring. Solid Black and Grey genetics are on both sides of her ancestry. Passion is currently bred to Red Granites Chandler Bay (Champion, Ee a1a1), ultrasounded positive, for an elite February 2026 cria.

A stunning true black Crescent Moon's Elite Cresdendo daughter, one of the few true blacks and or darks by him! She has a very BRIGHT fleece with a medium frequency crimp style with very good uniformity. In fact, her 2021 EPDs for SDAFD were in the top 15% with a -0.323 value. Meaning, that on average gher progeny will have more uniform fiber diameter than the breed average, which is very much true. Her MSL for 2021 EPDs were in the Top 10% meaning, on average, her progeny will have longer fleeces, which is also very true. She placed first at three of the most prestigious alpaca shows here in the US in the true black classes: The Futurity, Great Western Alpaca Show & AOA National Show. WOW! She is a very nice mother with lots of milk for her crias. She produces very bright fleeces and nice phenotypes within her crias.

Estates Goddess of Luck, is Extremely DENSE. She has crimpy fleece, even on her legs, and is fine with bright fiber. Goddess of Luck is sired by Andean's Pegasus of Country Estates, a 3x banner winner at the International Alpaca Odyssey shows. (Pegasus' sire is our own Snowmass Andean Midnight, a beautiful, compact, true black "silky soft" male with an outstanding pedigree for fineness.) Goddess of Luck's dam, Patagonia Estates Goleta, is a full Chilean dark brown Patagonia's Ernesto daughter.

This young girls name wasn't by fault - she was born with a simply gorgeous lavender hue to her fleece with and with that lovely fleece came an immediate "winning" attitude. So thus, her name became: Gorgeous O. Red Granites Gorgeous O is the last sired progeny by two-time Futurity Champion; Snowmass Reserved, whom we lost way too early. Reserved was our cornerstone Herdsire that we used over our best grey and black females. He sired Red Granites Royal Brutus (owned by Moose Creek Alpacas), the Rose Grey male who has 30 Championship banners to his name. Reserved only produced the best and Gorgeous O is just that. She has a beautiful fine, dense, uniform, and bright fleeced with a gorgeous phenotype and style to her.

Red Granites Coos Bay is a True Black (Indefinite) MFI Pistol daughter. Her dam, USA Peruvian Chassidy, has a pedigree of all Peruvian imports, she sadly passed away a few years back with her final micron test (2017) testing in at 20.9 at 12 years old. Coos Bay has her daddy's looks and attitude, she knows she runs the place. One of our most prized Snowmass engendered females. Snowmass Sizlin Sunshine is a cross between Snowmass Sizlin Hot and Snowmass Casanova's Charisma. Sizlin Sunshine brings not only very fine alpacas into our herd but she brings in many colorful imported lines. Snowmass Sizlin Hot is the son of 5Peruvian Red Hot, a full Peruvian Snowmass stud who had brung many glossy fleeces and champion alpacas, now sadly deceased. Purchased a long time ago in auction from Snowmass Alpacas, the same year we purchased our dynamic trio of males; Snowmass Reserved, Snowmass Premonition, and Snowmass Matrix Rose. These four alpacas started our breeding program, and brought our genetic lines to where they are now. Snowmass Sizlin Sunshine was bred to Snowmass Matrix Rose when we purchsed her, so our ideal thought was we wouldn't get any Matrix Rose crias until 2011, why wait if we can have a early one in 2010? With two females at the auction bred to Snowmass Matrix Rose (Sunshine being one of them) we went based off of well luck, and we got, in the end, our 12X CHAMPION, 2016 Herdsire Of the Year & 2017 reserve Herdsire Of the Year winner -- Snowmass Mr Sizlin Rose, also sire of the 3X AOA NATIONAL DARK MALE SUPREME CHAMPION -- Red Granites Val D Lsere. She stamped her offspring, her offspring stamped theirs, and theirs did the same. The power of her genetic line are priceless in our eyes, and we will forever favor them. With never getting a female from her during her breeding years, we have relied on Snowmass Mr Sizlin Rose to give us her favorable female genes, and he hasn't let us down. Sizlin Sunshine now grazes peacefully in our old gal' pasture/pen, looking over her royal line she gave us. Until her time comes and when it comes and she goes, she will have a spot in our hearts forever.

Red Granites Snowfire is an exquisite daughter by Lionheart’s Connagher, who despite passing away a few years ago, has continued to play a vital role in our finest white lines here at Red Granite Ranch. Her dam, SpringToo Shantay of Red Granite is one of our best Snowmass Premoniton daughters. So when the stars align and two pre-potent animals are put together, the outcome has to be amazing — and it most certainly was. Red Granites Snowfire had an elite fiber test as a 2-year-old come back at 17.3 microns with a SD of 3.3, and then at 4-years-old she tested at 19.7 microns and a 3.2 SD even after giving birth the year prior. This female is set up to produce the finest most luxurious white fiber with sacrificing fineness, uniformity and brightness. The judges even agreed with these fleece traits in the ring as they awarded her the MOPACA Invitational Alpaca Show Best Bred & Owned Female banner in 2019 as a 2-Year-Old. They judge explained how she was the finest by far, and easily competed with juveniles fleeces.

Venus is a name which means Goddess of Beauty, and this female is truly the Goddess of Beauty and she will have you needing her in your breeding program. A stunning overall female with no faults. Great size and capacity, perfect for birthing her cria, with straight front and rear legs, level top line, good coverage, and best of all her fleece - - it's stunning! We have admired this females older brother, Sugarland's Checkmate since he won the 2022 Futurity Black Male Color Champion banner as a juvenile...so when the opportunity struck to own the full-sister to him we could not pass that up! Following the footsteps of her full brother, Sugarland's Checkmate, Soulmate won Color Champion at her very first show. She was awarded first place in her class of 11 and then went on to win the Black Female Color Champion. Soulmate then traveled to the AOA National Show in Denver, CO and was awarded the Black Female Color Champion in Walking Fleece and another First Place in her large Halter Class. Beloved has beautiful fleece quality; impressive density, fineness, and uniformity of micron while also having exceptional brightness and a soft handle. Her 2024 fleece boasts an impressive staple length, exquisite handle, and low micron. She is bred to the exceptional stud male: Caley’s Peruvian Monarch for a Fall 2024 cria!

Red Granites Olita is sired by the ever incredible Irish Meadows' Elite Max, who in total has 27x Championships (including 9 Judges’ Choice awards). He has been stamping some incredible crias, and when Julie and Mike had approached us about Odena (who at the time had came out of the Championship ring with a nice purple ribbon) being bred to him we simply couldn't refuse the offer! Red Granites Olita is the result of that special breeding offer. She has a unique and fun personality and walks like she own it all. Her fleece is also not to shabby full of highly aligned crispy bundles that have brightness, uniformity, density, and of course, fineness. Much like her grandsire: Red Granites Val D Lsere. Her fiber clusters are uniform in placement but not as uniform in size and shape. She shows 2 of 4 gland presence. Her S/P ratio is 13.5:1, and her density is 107.0 S/M of skin. Her secondary fibers average 19.5 microns, and her primary fibers average 24.1 microns. She has 40% medullated fibers. Her S/P spread is only 4.6 microns, and her AFD is 19.8 microns. She is in the Top 2% of females for density & overall, and the Top 6% for S/P spread for females.

Someone missed out on this female at the 2024 AAA & boy are we glad she didn't go oversea - we will gladly breed her! Red Granites Shea is an astounding direct daughter of CCNF Legionnaire, a sire who has offspring all across the globe consuming major success! Shea's mother is our National White Color Champion female, H2R Seren, who also just happens to be a direct daughter of Snowmass Velvet Touche. A genetic cocktail crossing super-sires: Snowmass Conopa XXX, Snowmass Velvet Touche, and Snowmass Matrix Majesty! Shea already has a Color Champion win under her belt and will make a wonderful foundation dam! A Color Champion winner in her own right, Red Granites Shea is an astounding direct daughter of CCNF Legionnaire, a sire who has offspring all across the globe consuming success at extreme extents. An internationally recognized stud male with offspring residing across the United States, Canada, Poland, the United Kingdom and Australia. Her fleece is high-frequency with highly-aligned bundles, which are uniform, varying very little in micron numbers across her body. At the 2023 AOA National Fleece Show, Shea's fleece was entered in the Innovative Fleece Show at 11.9 months old. Her microns were as followed: Shoulder 18.6, Mid 15.2, Low/Mid 18.0, Rump 20, with an average micron of 18 and a variance of 4.8. Judges comments were "Uniform in style and density to the staples. Best for knitwear, suiting baby blankets, christening gowns, chemo caps, light weight scarves." She won 4th pace out of 6 in the "Dark" category (combination of dark animals). I am so very excited to add this girl to my program!! When my grandparents had told me that they purchased Lot 17 I was excited for them, but when they turned around and said "she is yours" I became overwhelmed! Our second purchase at the 2024 Futurity Show & Sale and boy is she a beauty!!! NPA Zahara is in fact a daughter of Red Granites Innsbruck, who we sold many years ago at the 2016 Futurity Show & Sale as a juvenile to his first owners; Stellar Alpacas (he also won the Black Male Color Champion banner the very next day). He is a mega-time champion and Judges' Choice winner, standing for everything we strive for at Red Granite Ranch. Innsbruck was sold to ALPACAS of Tualatin Valley & North Plains Alpacas but is now owned by North Plains Alpacas, Rocking R Alpacas & Granite Bay Alpacas - where is stamping out ELITE progeny of TRUE BLACK coloration. He has become one of the most highly-sought after black producing stud males in North America; producing multiple champion progeny and blacks that win Judges' Choice awards! The dam of Zahara is NPA Zinnia, a direct daughter of 12-time Champion: Snowmass Hemingway XX (now deceased). He is sired by Snowmass Matrix Midnight and out of a black Snowmass Arctic Blue daughter. Maternally, Zinnia is a granddaughter of BMF Taos' Zeppelin, a PHA Peruvian Taos son who won an AOBA National Black Male Color Champion win in Fleece, via her champion black dam: NPA Zeta! A pedigree filled with proven genetics displaying excellence. Sired by Wiseman, a Snowmass Conopa son out of a Matrix dam, and then depth with being crossed over a Snowmass Elite Legend grand-daughter and on the maternal side any notables with the incredible Accoyo America Kashmir and double Accoyo Nautilus. This female is so dense, and it comes as no shock to us! Not to mention Little Cass is related to another one of our stud females, Snowmass Heaven's Spice! Crescent Moon's Rosaria is the daughter of not only Kolbe, but of Crescent Moon's Rosie Locks. Rosie Locks is no longer a youngster for sure, but in her yearling year of showing, she was never beaten. Few show alpacas can make that claim. She was the champion at shows across the country including the Futurity and the National Show that year. Rosaria is a lovely alpaca in her own right, as you can see. Rosaria is being bred to Legit for an exciting cria!

H2R Primrose is exactly what Happy Hounds Alpacas was asking for when they combined there Full Accoyo Dam, Crescent Moon's Calla Lily and the Incredible Snowmass Velvet Touche. They were gifted with an exceptional brown Girl that has a velvety soft fleece that is extremely bright, super fine with lots of bundles. Primrose has a beautiful stylish head, Great conformation, and nice big bones. Primrose has been bred to the incredible 12X Champion, Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose for an exciting 2027 cria.

Crescent Moon's Damie is just a chip off her dad's block!! She retains the same confidence and engaging personality as her dad who can be caught in a 10-acre field! Damie also maintains the same gentleness as her mom, and she received the best of fleece traits from both. One look at Damie's fleece and you are going to notice there is a lot going on here. Damie's fleece is very bright, and very well expressed with exemplary uniformity of micron, crimp, and length. Damie will be bred to Ironhide Vapor for a stellar 2027 cria. When searching for a next generation female with outcrossed genetics, we couldn't refuse this girl at the 2025 ACE's Loaded Auction!! We are very familiar with her Judges' Choice Roan Sire, Snowmass Majestic Reflection, as him and Red Granites Alydar have shared numerous championships together. He descends from an incredible lineage that includes: Snowmass Everlasting Paramount, Snowmass Velvet Touche, and Snowmass Matrix Majesty - all of which are Futurity Herdsire of the Year winners. The dam of this female is AOA National Grey Champion, Crescent Moon's Muy Bonita, who is sired by Futurity & National Champion Crescent Moon's Emmaus (ATV Adonnis grandson) and out of a PCA Accoyo El Nino daughter. Very rarely do we purchase an animal out of one of our lines, and very rarely does anyone purchase a juvenile for $25,000, however, we've watched this girl since she was conceived - quite literally, and after viewing her at Nationals it was clear where she needed to belong. We are proud to welcome Rogue's Tia Dalma to the foundation herd at RGR, a big thank you to the Brehms for offering such a high-quality female at the 2025 Futurity Auction!! When you take a look at Rogue's Tia Dalma, you can immediately tell she descends for some amazing high quality genetics. Her sire, RGR Boco Raton By Val D Lsere is our 5-time Judges' Choice winning stud male who crosses MFI Peruvian Presumption with Red Granites Val D Lsere. Her dam, Amber Autumn Elegant Legend was the 2021 AOA National Light Female Supreme Champion recipient among her other awards. She is sired by a beautiful Snowmass Elite Legend x Snowmass Sub Zero male named Snowmass Wings of Legends, and she is out of Amber Autumn Evonne, a 5Peruvian Chaccu & PCA Accoyo El Nino granddaughter. Red Granites Odena By Val D Lsere is the best Red Granites Val D Lsere daughter of our 2021 show string, taking home two banners as a juvenile and she is taking home banners at every show as a yearling. Her fleece simply cries for attention, and so does she. Her pedigree rings a tone of fleece genetic virtue with the most elite fleeced animals in the Snowmass & Red Granite programs. Red Granites Odena's Dam - Snowmass Seven Orchids - is one of our well known champion girls in 2015 who we purchased from Julie & Don Skinner at a Futurity auction.. Orchid is the daughter of Snowmass Seven Below, a multiple Herdsire of the year winner. Snowmass considered Seven Below their "secret weapon" for passing on uniformity of micron and fleece architecture. Odena is an exciting eleven-time champion with a Judges' choice win. VAC's Beethoven's Primrose is a gorgeous bay black female who has been so instrumental in producing our lead color genetic lines. Daughter of NM Beethoven and VAC's Blue Indigo we knew she would be an impact female when we purchased her. Primrose herself is a five-time color championship winner and has placed first at some of the top shows in the country. Popcorn is our only alpaca that is sired by Snowmass Matrix Belvedere and she just happened to be one of our best show stock, winning a judges' choice at her every first show. Snowmass Conopa XXX Vail is one of our all time most treasured production females. A 10-TIME PRODUCE OF DAM WINNER she has continued to prove herself through her offspring. Her production has taken us to the top at shows and to the Elite level in our breeding program. Snowmass Conopa XXX Vail is the only left offspring by HWA Plantel's Promise, a direct 6Peruvian Accoyo Plantel daughter who carried a gorgeous fawn grey fleece, and was very dear to Snowmass Alpacas, we sadly lost her in 2011 after she had her second daughter, Red Granites Royal Promise, who we also ended up loosing later in 2014. Vail has exceeded our expections with carrying on these genetics, and we are forever grateful for the oppourtunity on purchasing her and her dam. Her first son, Red Granites Val D Lsere, is quite possibly the most amazing Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose son we have ever produced/seen. He is a 3X AOA National Dark Male Supreme Champion winner and has over 20 judges' choice and championship awards. A reserve color champion winner at her first show, Red Granites Sassafras By Val D Lsere has an ultra-uniform, fine fleece with the same brightness and density that her dam had at her age. Show record aside, we really love this female for her combination of the best white genetics and the finest color producing genetics offered in the United States. Sassafras' dam, the multi-champion (included AOA National Champion x2) Snowmass Heaven's Guardian daughter; Snowmass Heaven's Spice carried a histogram test of 20.7, 3.5, 17.1, 0.8, 60.6, 19.5 at nearly six years old (2021). Her sire Heaven’s Guardian’s grid fleece results are stellar in Ultra Royal grade: 1st 13.2 microns 2nd Shearing 14.6 3rd Shearing 16.7 and 2015 16.4. So uniformity is rather strong on the maternal side of Sassafras' lineage, not a surprise considering it is of Snowmass' top white animals making it up.... Her Sire, Red Granites Val D Lsere needs no introduction. A 3-time Supreme Champion and multiple Herdsire/Reserve Herdsire of the Year recipient. Sassafras herself is a lovely built animal from the tip of her nose to the end of her tail -- everything just blends and proportions so smoothly. The most impressive Snowmass Reserved daughter ever produced, and with her sire now sadly deceased, she is even more special to us, meet Red Granites Jenga! Red Granites Jenga is a stunning Modern Dark Rose Grey female, who won the 2021 AOA National Fleece Show Grey Female Reserve Championship banner with her 2-year-old fleece, and has many halter championships under her belt as well. Judges have raved on about her fleece, and with good reason! Her fleece is bright, uniform, and has a high frequency style with amazing density, just take a look at the fleece shots and they will say it all. Snowmass Smoke N Silk is a female who has an incredibly powerful pedigree with some of the most influential colored huacayas. She has three notable sires just on her paternal side alone that should hint at the powerfulness, those sires include but are not limited to: Snowmass Conopa XXX, Snowmass XXXtreme (two times) and Snowmass Matrix. If your wondering who the sire of this pedigree is, its the modern rose gray multiple Futurity Champion: Snowmass Smokin. Snowmass Smokin is the product of crossing Futurity Champion Snowmass Conopa's Kahuna (arguably one of the best Conopa sons born carrying Snowmass XXXtremely Scarlet as his dam) and Snowmass Cashmina Gold, a beige Snowmass Matrix daughter and maternal granddaughter of Snowmass XXXtreme via her dam, Snowmass Cashmina). Now to us, that is one hell of a breeding male which is to be expected from Don and Julie Skinners program. When they sold the Snowmass herd and name, Snowmass Smokin was one of the few males they retained and continued breeding. That alone speaks volume. The dam of this lovely female (Smoke N Silk) is Snowmass Conopa's Silk, a Snowmass Conopa XXX daughter and a maternal granddaughter of the amazing Snowmass Invincible. Conopa's Silk is one of the few outcrossed Snowmass females as her dam, Snowmass Invincibly Silky, was a direct daughter of the medium fawn Colorado Mezcal making her unique. Snowmass Secrets of the Andes is a true secret to have here at Red Granite Ranch and will be a serious secret weapon in the future. Now yes, we do know she is white but, her heritage is where we flipped the coin on purchasing her at the 2021 Parade of Champions Auction from Lynn Edens. What pushed us even further to purchase this female was her distant relation to our now late male, Snowmass Reserved. Her maternal grand-dam is Snowmass Heidi Love XX a 5Peruvian Tapara daughter making her a maternal-sibling to Snowmass Reserved. She descends from dark super-stars: Snowmass Matrix Majesty and Snowmass Andean Velvet and as such is line-bred on the incredible “dam of sires” Snowmass Simply Scrumptious. Take a look at the pedigree for yourselves on this girl, with all this color in her background we will be looking for color! Her fleece is oh so, so, so bright with incredible fineness and uniformity across the whole blanket. Red Granites Violet is our most cherished of Red Granites Achillies progeny. She is a picture-perfect alpaca with a fleece of Champions. Due to her loosing her teeth as a juvenile we have been unable to show her, so we entered her in fleece shows and well the results speak for themselves: 5 shows, 4 firsts, 5 advanced fleece awards (scores above 80 points), 1 best handle and a 2 Light Color Champion banners and 1 White Color Champion banners. Her dam; Red Granites Vista, is a maternal half-sister to Red Granites Val D Lsere and is a direct daughter of FDA Rembrandt By El Niño. Extremely high-frequency fleeces are to be expected from Violet considering her genetic linage.

Red Granites Vista By Rembrandt is our most cherished production female. A daughter of our best production female, Snowmass Conopa XXX Vail and by a very influential-champion male out of Amanda's private program (Flying Dutchman Alpacas, LLC), FDA Rembrandt By El Nino. Vista brings in superior fineness matched with incredible density and a high curvature fleece style. Her micron tests over the years have been remarkable with her keeping her low CV vaules and SD vaules as she ages. Heck at 3-years-old her fleece had a 67.3 curvature with 20 micron fleece! She sets the bar rather high when we look at future foundation females. Her offspring take in her amazing traits as well. Her son, Red Granites Vega sported a 2019 micron of 15.8, SD 3.4, and a CURV of 58.9. In 2021 he had a 10 pound blanket come off of him, yes a fleece weight of 10 pounds. Vegas juvie AFD was 11 microns. Vistas crias have all been 'heavy weights' when born, a lot of them being 19-25 pounds at birth! Vista has two Top 1% EPD traits in 2020, MC (0.58%) and then FW (0.76%). In 2022, Vista gave birth to a white male sired by Creed!

One of the best produced Val D Lsere daughter here at Red Granite Ranch, one of the only females to beat Red Granites Cinnamon in a championship ring, which says a lot. Red Granites Batie is one of our few remaining STAR Crescent Moon’s Shiftin Gears daughters, the last to be born here at Red Granite Ranch, making her an extremely special female. She brings enduring love to all of her crias, each of them having extremely fine fleeces with sacrificing uniformity. She has so far been crossed with two of our leading WHITE breeding males at Red Granite Ranch; Red Granites Bad Boy & Creed. The results from both of the matches were two beige females with fleeces that tested at 16.7 and 15.6 in 2021. Batie will play a very important role in our breeding program and we are patiently awaiting her 2022 cria with very high hopes.

Red Granites A Midnight Dandy (aka Dandy) is a stunning True Black daughter of LMFI Peruvian Black Midnight and MFI Peruvian Eternal Darkness, both exceptional black alpacas out of Magical Farms fantastic program. At 5-years-old Dandy held a 22.3 micron with a 4.4 SD as a TRUE BLACK! That is pretty darn impressive if you ask us! Her son, Red Granites Daunte By Val D Lsere sold at the 2019 Futurity for $23,000! Criativity has produced many top animals who go on to be top producers her at Red Granite Ranch. Pairing her genetic lines with any one of our Herdsires gives us so many advantages when breeding her. MSA Valpolicella is an exceptional foundation female! MSA Valpolicella is a trail-blazing synthesis of genetics from the best colors lines in the huacaya breeding world. Her dam, is a direct daughter of 4Peruvian Altiplano Gold 6026, whose offspring are highly saught after. His reputation for consistently producing high levels of quality in his offspring is unmatched by most males. He has an amazing ability to pass on positive traits in fleece and conformation--with over 90% of his offspring (or those with his lineage) placing first and second in tough local and national competitions. A fine example of this would be his granddaughter, our MSA Valpolicella. Valpolicella is the daughter of Patagonia's El Trauco. A full Chilean Shackleton son known for his fine fleece. Trauco is an 8x color champion (including AOBA and All-American Futurity) who produces beautiful typey heads on his crias. His cria are winners at halter and fleece and exhibit elegant phenotype as well. Combining these two lineages created the perfect breeding female to use within a color program. Proof? Valpolicella was used within our foundation female breedings from 2009 to 2019. That is extraordinary for a female to be used within a program for 10 straight years and just goes to prove just how good of a producer she is. Five of her nine offspring have been used within our breeding program. Despite this female being a little old in age, she can still produce exceptional crias. Crescent Moon's Legacy's Princess or "LP" as she is affectionately known as here at the ranch, is easily one of the most influential white females we picked up from Crescent Moon Ranch in 2014. Although shy of 10 years old at the time we purchased her, LP still held a super-fine fleece with amazing uniformity throughout all while having a cria at side. Crescent Moon's Ticklish is one of those grey females that was truly a generation above her time, and we were fortunate enough to purchase her back in 2013. Her progeny have been show winners and have gone onto produce some of the finest animals in BLACK, BROWN, and GREY.

We sadly had to make the tough decision to put Wildcard down in May of 2020 due to a foot infection that we just couldn't fix. He left us with a beautiful brown daughter to carry on his legacy. ATV Adonnis was recognized as one of the most influential grey huacaya herdsires in the nation, shown through his outstanding fleece stats, eleven champion banners, award-winning offspring, and the improvement in every breeding he did. His dam, Ulio Hembra Juaka is a lovely silver-grey female sired by Mile High Deacon Grey.

Sadly we lost this beautiful boy, and had to put him down in the Fall of 2024. Red Granites Bona Fide carries through with one of the brightest fleeces from our 2024 cria crop, but that is easily a given considering his parents!! His dam, Snowmass Matrix Breckenridge is a direct daughter of Snowmass Matrix and is one of our cornerstone foundation females who has only produced the best offspring for us each time she is bred. His sire, Red Granites Legit, is a 21-time Champion Black Stud who is sired by our Red Granites Val D Lsere and out of Irish Meadows' My Lacy. LMFI Peruvian Cherish was a beautiful female, we sadly lost her to cancer in 2018 and were left with her daughter Red Granites Sizlin Cherub. Cherish was a Full Peruvian, light fawn, daughter of Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah, arguably one of the industries best producing sires, and also the sire of infamous Jeremiah's Peruvian Jumanji.

Adonnis is nothing short of AMAZING and covered in a beautiful grey fleece. Adonnis in mythology was a very handsome fellow, but he's got nothing on this Adonnis! We bought Adonnis in 2013 for a rather cheap price, along with a quarter of the Crescent Moon Ranch herd to help us improve our bloodlines. He did more than just that -- he put us on the maps. We sadly lost Adonnis on March 30, 2015. We were left with very few offspring, but have acquired his best daughters from Scott and Debbie over the years. He will be missed but remembered with his amazing offspring. We will be keeping Adonnis on our Herdsire row as a reference sire. He was a direct son of 6Peruvian Accoyo Elite 5057 crossed with a Full Peruvian, Peruvian Geronimo G187 daughter to give him the consistency in his fineness over a touch of a heavy fleece weight that has weighted 14 pounds in 2010. He is one of great looks on top of his beautiful fleece. He was judges twice under the amazing Julio Sumar and placed very well. When having the chance to partner with Crescent Moon Ranch (Debbie & Scott Miller) to co-own this multi-champion superstar back in 2010 we could not turn the opportunity down. Its was not everyday you got your hands on a Peruvian/Accoyo male who is a direct son of 6Peruvian Accoyo Elite. His stud fee's were offered for $7,500..... Crescent Moon's Shiftin Gears was the epitome of genetic excellence, whose legacy has sadly ended on February 15, 2021. Crescent Moon & Red Granite Ranch made an incredibly tuff decision to put Shiftin down after we found his femur had shattered and was not fixable. Shiftin's progeny excelled in the show ring, earning championship banners across the U.S., including AOBA Nationals and the Futurity. His offspring proved to be the best in fleece weight, brightness, fineness, density, and consistency. We are very glad to have a few of his lead female and male offspring locked into our herd. We have bred Tennyson to all colors of females, mainly to add density and structure to that parting.

Greener Pastures Pearl Jam a son of Caligula's Accoyo Poseidon. When we saw the opportunity for a partnership with Scott & Debbie Miller (Crescent Moon Ranch) we could not resist it at all! Pearl Jam is a overall stunning white macho with great presence and a one of a kind character to add on. His fleece is uniform in color and extremely dense, with ultra-fineness and handle, and with an abundance of length, and with no doubt this Caligula's Accoyo Poseidon son offers the complete package for either the specialist breeder of white or indeed colors. He has produced a significant number of white progeny and, whatever the color, the quality and consistency of fleece being seen is nothing short of remarkable, with his progeny, even at such relatively young/mature ages, going on to win Judges Choice banners (Sire of the 2018 AOA National White Male Champion/2019 AOA National White Male Invited Res. Since purchasing Kirwin at the 2012 Parade Of Champions auction we have grown from his offspring to extreme extents. He has been said to be one of Crescent Moon's favorite Rayo Del Sol sons. In 2004 the production class at Crescent Moon Ranch was 70% male. Little did Crescent Moon kniw that those male cria's would represent such a large part in their future. On that list are the names Shiftin Gears, Lunar Breeze, Adonnis, Copenhagen, Semper Fidelis, Prince Charming and of course Kiriwn to name a few. With just the names provided above they had amassed a total of 60 championships and reserve championships all across the country at Level 4 and Level 5 shows. Kirwin was a cornerstone in the group winning 13 of these championships/reserses on his own, the first 8 months of age and the last at almost three years of age. He is amoung the most decorated ever show and may be the most decorated brown male in the country. As a sire he has ived up to the hype. His crias have demonstrated beautiful phenotype, beautiful fleeces, an array of colors. champion and ribbion winners. Like his name sake, Kirwin has executed exellence. Jim Kiriwn was one of the greatest men that Crescent Moon had ever known and were he still with them today, their friend Jim would be proud. The same can be said for them at Crescent Moon Ranch.

Full Peruvian with Accoyo Felix and Hemingway as grandsires, Connagher brings a lot to any breeding. A phenomenal phenotype, Connagher has style, conformation, and beautiful heavy fleece. Connagher has serious competition around here for breedings, but he will get his share. A resource like this shouldn't go untapped. Connagher's fleece has been consistently tested over the last 13 years and his AFD has never gone above 21.6. His 2014 clip produced 7.5 total pounds with a 4.4-pound blanket weight. His 2014 AFD: 17.8 SD: 3.6 CV: 20.4 %>30: 0.6. Connagher is a male you put on a female to give her crias style, great conformation, density, and a lingering fleece fineness. In 2016 at the age of 15.5 Connagher still fills our hearts with amazement. His 2016 fiber clip put him in the EPD top 1% in AFD, SD, SF, and % of microns over 30. And may we mention that many of Connaghers offspring had an EPD in the top 1% in 2019. Very few of Connaghers offspring are ever offered to sell here at Red Granite Ranch. This is mainly because they all tend to maintain their fineness for a long time. So when we offer his offspring for sale take advantage of it cause it doesn't happen often. - - - - - With 39 Registered offspring (as of December, 27 2020) 21 have shown in any sort of form. 5/2/2025: We sadly lost Army to a cougar attack. We will miss this boy dearly. We are thrilled with MFI Master At Arms – a Champion MFI Peruvian Donovan son. MFI Master At Arms is sired by the one and only MFI Peruvian Donovan who was one of Magical's fawn signature herdsires, who has produced many champion offspring, and himself is a champion. Master At Arms was the 2013 National Western Stock show champion fawn male. His stunning highly advanced fleece style is soft and as bright as the sun, not to mention that he packs on a whole lot of density along with being very uniform. Master At Arms is a very calm and easy to handle male who carries an amazing fleece. He has tight zipper tight bundles all over his body, he has an absolutely perfect frame and forms with a superb head style.

MFI Pistol is a very stylish sire that brings some very desirable traits into our breeding program. The conformation this male exhibits is highly desirable and each aspect is correct and his movement is sublime. He was first sold at the Breeders Choice Auction for $230,000. When he came back to Magical Farms in 2012 we could not refuse the offer to purchase him. During 2012 he was re-entered into the show ring and won two more color championships and a first-place finish at the AOBA show. Pistol had several other championships prior to being first sold, including a Futurity Grand Championship win. The jet black fleece this sire displays is very dense, bright, soft handling and long stapled. Even as he is coming up on 21-Years-Old, his fleece maintains excellent traits! With such a depth of known and proven bloodlines in his pedigree, MFI Pistol will bring additional density, color and style to everyones breeding program. His offspring are all very nice! His son, Red Granites Pecos Pete is now standing in Australia at EP Camridge Alpaca Stud!

Red Granites 38 Magnum is a gorgeous dark silver grey male who has been instrumental in producing our softest and finest grey genetic lines. It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Reserved on October 14, 2021. This stunning dark roan stud with brilliantly bright fleece comes from highly selective combinations of elite Peruvian color genetics. Snowmass Reserved's sire, Snowmass Royal Reserve, linage provides indisputable excellence in colored huacaya alpacas. Two memorable "uncles" are Snowmass Royal Challenger and Snowmass XXXtreme. Snowmass Royal Reserves dam line is equally notable. Snowmass Reserved's paternal grand-dam, Snowmass Canagalli Rose, was a Futurity Champion and came from Peruvian Import, 5Peruvian Cangalli. The Cangalli breeders were very well known for some of the finest colored alpacas ever imported. Snowmass Reserved never placed below a first place in halter classes. Overall throughout his carrier, he had won five first-place ribbions and three Championship banners, two of which were awarded to him at the 2009 and 2010 Futurity, the other at the 2010 Great Western Alpaca Show. Cangalli is a breeders name in Peru that proved to carry some of the finest color alpacas we had ever screened for purchase and why we named the first import we purchase from this breeder Peruvian Cangalli. We bred Cangalli to Accoao Snowmaster and produced Snowmass Cangalli Rose who took Color Futurity Champion in her day, all of which makes Snowmass Reserved's sire lineage so influential. We are now closing Legionnaire to outside breedings. With hi weight fluctuation and age we think it best to keep him in house. He has many sons working for us! To say we were excited to partner with Amber Autumn Alpacas with CCNF Legionnaire at the 2014 Breeders Edge Auction would be an understatement, a huge one. In a long run, Legionnaire went on to be the highest selling alpaca at the auction (we bought him for $57,500), figures considering this guys genetics. This spectacular young male was the 2015 Futurity Fawn Male Color Champion & 2015 AOA National Fawn Male Reserve Champion!! Two of the most prestigious shows in the alpaca industry and he took home purple. Ending his show career with four Judges' Choice awards and nine Championship awards. By one of the world’s great sires, out of a female from a sensational family line who has made a huge impact on the United States industry, here we have a male bred on a cross that has been proven to produce champions. CCNF Legionnaire, a son of Snowmass Matirx Majesty, has enjoyed extraordinary success as a sire with championship winners in both the United States and Canada and his offspring being found in Poland, United States, Canada, and Australia. Overall, his offspring have won many championships and even Judges’ Choice and National Championship titles. Even more impressive, his son Red Granites Pallaton (Now resides in Poland) won the 2018 Canadian Supreme Champion Male award, Palltons offspring have had much success in the Canadian show rings themselves. From this we can see that Cricket always had the potential to be an elite animal, but he has far exceeded the expectations. His first cria are nothing short but fantastic! Red Granites Royal Patriot our newest gray Herdsire! With our Gray breeding program being rather small a few select males actually make it into our gray breeding program, lucky enough, Royal Patriot was able to snag a spot for that and has a few crias due for 2022. During his show career judges' had commented on how he looked like a white animal because of how light his grey coloring was. Unique enough, he barley qualifies as a grey due to him lacking the colored fibers most grey alpacas have, they said he was always the finest in the class but couldn't be placed high due to this. Sired by Snowmass Reserved, the Brown Male Color Champion at the 2009 Futurity & Combined Mixed Male Reserve Champion at the 2010 Futurity. Red Granites Tyton is one of our standout gray herdsires that we own here at Red Granite Ranch and offer for outside breedings. He is an exceptional example of what high class, selective breeding can do. He has been called a standout male in his classes. He carries great phenotype, dense bone structure, well organized fleece with consistent architecture throughout. Son of the famous Crescent Moon’s Aquinas, a 12X Champion male who produces exceptionally good gray offspring. Red Granites Sundance is son of Red Granites Val D Lsere, 2021 Futurity Herdsire of the Year. Sundance brings in the elements of color to the Snowmass Incandescence lines via his Dam, Snowmass Sunset Dreams. Sunset Dreams is without question one of our finest and best looking white dams who has produced black and many colors more than once. She has a glorious color lineage with a strong Paternal Black lineage of which includes Snowmass Nova. Her Maternal genetics include Chaccu and Hemingway and XXXtreme. The blend with Val D Lsere has brought forth a soft handling fine fleeced beige male with wonderful density. Sundance also has his sires unbelievable bone-structure. He is a type of male you can put over color as you know he will pull the color and add an overriding influence of the most elite fiber traits. He is a very strong male and stands very proud on all fours. He is also very sweet and very gentle with our grandkids, which is always important to us when males of mature ages are gentle with kids. Red Granites Allison is an absolutely astrounding, true black Color Champion female. Her Dam, LBA's Abigal was one of our main Kirwin daughters that we could used for breeding dark colors. (please see Allison's pedigree for more in depth genetic details).She was a drop dead gorgeous medium fawn female that we picked up from Crescent Moon Ranch whileist being bred to a top black male at the time. She comes from a remarkable line of some of the grandest black and dark colored alpacas around in the US. Allison's Sire is no other than Crescent Moon's Thelonius who is owned by our friends at Crescent Moon Ranch; Debbie & Scott Miller. He was a respected 7X CHAMPION male, that included a Color Champion win at the Futurity 2011. He was infact a Valentino son, bringing the favorable "Bulldog" bone structure that is highly sought after. Red Granites Allison is an 8X CHAMPION by the end of her show career, never placing below a third and held her own at the AOA National Shows she atteneded. With winning Championships at two of the most prestigious shows in the country (Great Western Alpaca Show & Futurity) we are able to say she is one of our top black female EVER produced thus far. She has already oroduced a great wealth of Dark offspring. Her first daughter. Red Granites Abcde was a top show winner. Red Granites Pumpkin is a stunning Rincon Cloud daughter with an exceptionally DENSE and UNIFORM rose grey fleece. She is full — even as a breeding female — has high frequency of crimps all across her body in uniform bundles.

HWA Plantel's Promise was one of the very few colored females and also one of the very few who held grey genetics within her heritage that was a 6Peruvian Accoyo Plantel daughter. She was a lovely fleeced fawn grey female that became very dear to Snowmass Alpacas before they sold her at auction bred to Snowmass Conopa XXX. We sadly lost Promsie unexpectedly in July of 2011 right after she had her daughter sired by Snowmass Reserved in June of 2011, who later ended up passing away in 2014. Promise's daughter, Snowmass Conopa XXX Vail was our only hope on carrying on Promsise' genetics and she has done just that. Promise would've created many more wonderful foundation females for us just like her daughter, Vail who produced Val D Lsere. We are very sad to have lost her so soon but her legacy lives within most of our herd now.

WWF Accoyo's Betsy Ross — a premier foundation female for us here at Red Granite Ranch, who sadly went to alpaca haven May 28, 2020. Sired by the ever great PPeruvian Camilio and out of Peruvian Accoyo Mystique, a direct daughter of PPeruvian Vengador. Her lineage speaks for itself alone but when we put that side by side with her outstanding production record, it speaks even more. Betsy Ross is the dam of: - Red Granites MR Ben Franklin, a Light Brown male sired by Snowmass Matrix Rose who we sold to Snow Diamond Alpacas a few years back and he has since been exported to a German breeder. Ben was a Grand Champion winner and had accumulated 13 championship banners throughout his career, including the 2016 AOA National Brown Male Color Champion banner. - Crescent Moon’s Accoyo Realaza, a Light Fawn 4Peruvian Legacy daughter who is a study foundation female for Amber Autumn Alpacas. - Crescent Moon’s Accoyo Confusion a Crescent Moon’s Rising daughter who bannered at the 2008 MOPACA Alpaca Invitational Show as a juvenile. She sadly passed away in 2013. - Red Granites Sizlin Bea, a True Black daughter of Snowmass Mr Sizlin Rose who was sold in 2017 months before winning a banner at the 2017 AOA National Show. She won many banners for her new owners but sadly passed away late in 2017.

Chassidy's genetics have been assembled to make her a show string producer. Her dam is a rare full Peruvian black female out of black Peruvian import, 007, who was one of the few TB Peruvian males to be imported. Her sire is a multiple show winning Accoyo Augusto herdsire. Other Peruvian lines are Pinya, Warapina, Allianza, and Macuzani. She has an elite style fleece that is very consistent in architecture and has a silky handle. Her stature is erect with a noticeable presence.

What a lovely alpaca and a lovely fine fleece. Crescent Moon's Giselle is a stunning medium fawn female we purchased from Crescent Moon Ranch in 2013. She carries a high frequency fleece that is oh so fine and is by our favorite grey male, ATV Adonnis. Her heritage is all about fineness! At her second show she was awarded the Fawn Female Color Champion banner as a juvenile, quite an accoplishment if you ask us! She ranks in the Top 1% in %F>30 on her 2021 EPDs based off of her 2021 histogram.

Our Sunlight is a direct daughter of Snowmass Conopa XXX, who is now deceased and Snowmass Sunset Dreams a female we purchased at a Snowmass Auction quite some time ago. Sunlight is a stunning female in every way and has held her fineness very well over the years even as a breeding female. She is due for an Alydar cria in June 2022. This is one of our most anticipated breedings of the 2022 birthing season. This cria will have a double-dose of Snowmass Conopa XXX with a unique twist of Snowmass incandescence and Crescent Moon’s Thelonius, taking in the best of both light and dark-colored animals here in the United States.

If you are looking for supreme color genetics for your breeding program, you will find this beautiful brown female the perfect fit. Her gorgeous phenotype makes her a "total package." Her sire is light brown multiple mega-champion, Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose, a son of Snowmass Matrix Rose. Her dam is also a champion and out of Patagonia's El Trauco. Sizlin Vixen is a proven mother of two females, who both remain in our program. Vixen has just turned 11 and is in excellent health.

We sadly announce the death of Clear Cut. Red Granites Clear Cut is the only TRUE BLACK Val D Lsere son we still have on the ranch. He is one of the four BLACK males sired by Val D Lsere, making him even more special to us and letting him go is going to be hard. His Dam is no less than La Finca's V V Cella, a light fawn daughter of MSA Peruvian Very Victor and MSA Valpolicella. Cella's lineage is full of Peruvian and Chilean hucayas of color, getting her black genes from an imported male from Chile; Shackleton (maternal great-grandsire). Shackleton was owned by Alpacas de la Patagonia where he sired many outstanding crias of color, including two of there former herdsires: Patagonia's Neruda and Patagonia's El Trauco (MSA Valpolicella's sire), both multi-champion males. Clear Cut is one of the few crosses done between the animals in his lineage, he is the only BLACK from pairing his heritage! No white fibers are found throughout his body, he is a TRUE TRUE BLACK! Clear Cut has the longest fleece recorded from our Val D Lsere offspring. In 2019 as a juvenile he sheared off 5.06 inches of fleece (128.5 mm) and in 2021 as a 2-year-old male he sheared off 4.53 inches (115.0 mm) of fleece and 8.9 pounds of fleece came off of him! Impressive for any color but especially for a TRUE BLACK! He is the perfect stud to bring a balance of long, fine yield of fleece on a strong, large frame for black alpacas. His body is full of high frequency and very uniform black bundles of fleece, all which comes with superior density and exceptional brightness. As an upcoming 3-year-old he has not lost a stich in his looks and carries a unique and valued inheritance. This male will being you to new dimensions in putting Elite BLACK alpacas back on the maps with favored staple length, fleece weight, density and lasting fineness above all. He is currently unproven but we plan on testing him this spring season and trying him on some of our unrelated dark brown and black females. His price will go up when he is considered proven.

Red Granites Odetta is a stunning female. She has a vicuna styled fleece with extreme fineness and uniformity.
